Wayfaring breeze takes flight
Ripples call out to sea
Crabs claw sand
Couples hand in hand
Think of futures
In magic carpets of cumulus
Rain falls
Dreams die
Earth smells of lilied corpses

On sinewy branches
Rootless trees
Flowerless stems
Unclothed bodies
Masked faces
Strange roads
Familiar boards
Selling neon-coloured lies
Beggared of prey
It eats the words
Of the stray’s howl
